Bella Cuba

The Place:
Bella Cuba
1659 Washington Ave
Miami Beach, FL 33139

The Food:
Traditional Cuban.
Ropa vieja - slow cooked pulled meat in Caribbean spices, slow roasted tomato sauce and red wine, with sparse green peppers and spanish olives
Moro - white rice, black beans and black bean soup, mixed and cooked.
Boiled yucca with mojo sauce
Caramel Flan

The atmosphere:
Comfortable and affordable fine dining right off of Lincoln Avenue. Located steps from the party of south beach, it's lively, very well lit by the large windows and bright blue skies.

The skinny:
Seriously great. Authentic, very well made. The waitress runs on Cuban-time, so don't be in a hurry to get in and out. A bit of warning though, the taste of the water that goes into the fountain drink is a bit odd, ask for a bottled drink if available.
