The Place:
The Diner
550 Winfield Dunn Parkway
Sevierville, TN 37862
The Atmosphere:
Old school 50s atmosphere, with an ill-fitting subway/bus transportation style set of advertizements across the top 1/4 of the walls. They did well when they chose the chromed retro tables, booths and chairs, but that was where the good choices ended. There are ads for local businesses everywhere and are mounted on a large, curved bus-style ad installation that is extremely out of place in a restaurant. There are also no decorations, posters, etc from the 50s era whatsoever.
The food:
Chocolate malt, chicken BLT and a brownie sundae.
The skinny:
It cost a LOT of money for the mediocre quality food received. Two adults with two lunch meals, drinks and a shared desert was $55. The food is not as good as what you can find at Sonic's or Steak and Shake, which sell the same fare at better prices. The malt was great, the food however was pretty average to sub-par. The bill was horrifying, landing The Diner in the 'do not recommend' pile.
